D6 Family Theme: Faithfulness. God is always faithful to His people. 1 Kings 18:1-19:3

Scriptural Interpretation: Our next Equipping Course is coming up in January. It is a study of the principles for a sound interpretation of the Bible. We’ll be looking at how to accurately study the Bible, including parables, typology, prophecy and more. Scriptural Interpretation will be lead by Pastor Bruce on Tuesdays at 4:30 PM, January 6th through February 4. E-mail Pastor Bruce if you’re interested in taking the class.

Abundant Giving: Did you know that you can give to our Abundant Giving fund anytime you like? Besides our annual Abundant Giving emphasis in November, we also welcome it at any time of the year, as God blesses you. Abundant Giving is an offering over and above one's normal tithe, that goes directly toward paying off the principal on our newly consolidated building loan. You can either connect to “Cheerful Give” or just write "Abundant Giving" on the memo line of your check any Sunday.

“Spruce With Bruce”: We hope you can take a few minutes or a couple of hours to stop by this Saturday and help with our workday. Our church could use some cleaning and landscaping. If you have pruners and gloves please bring them. The time is from 8:00 to 11:59 AM.

Dress A Girl: Please join us for an afternoon of creating dresses and shorts for kids all over the world. We gather on January 17th, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mokuaikaua Church on Ali’i Drive. Not a seamstress? That’s okay - bring your scissors and/or iron and ironing board and you can join the fun. Seamstresses need to bring your sewing machine, sewing supplies, scissors, and some 3/8" elastic. Cotton fabric donations are welcome. Questions? Email Julie Lucas.

Theology 201: One of our main equipping classes is quickly approaching. Theology 201 explores ten of the most important doctrines of the Bible. This mini-version of 301 uses group discussion through the book Evangelical Convictions. It will be led by the Elders on Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM, from January 18th to March 22. This class is required for many of our leadership positions here at Grace.

Annual BBQ: We will be holding our annual business meeting (around the Gazebo) in two weeks, following the service on the 25th. This potluck is for all voting members here at Grace. If you have any agenda items you would like to discuss, please contact Bob Hudson. Meat & drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish according to last name: A-G side or salad, H-P main dish, Q-Z dessert.

Women’s Bible Study: Beginning the last week of January on Wednesday AM & Thursday PM, you are invited to join in a 6-week study of the book of John, focusing on "Pursuing More of Jesus." Two sessions are dedicated to learning Bible study methods. Participants guide is $12.50. Sign up at the Connection Tent, or e-mail Margie macampbell@hawaii.rr.com.

Summit: We are asking all those in leadership, as well as those who might be interested in leadership, to attend the upcoming Leadership Summit on February 7th. The time will be from 8:00 AM to Noon. This is for all those ministry teams listed on the bulletin, as well as Life Group Leaders.
